2 Timothy 1:7-8
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord...”
I feel electric every time I read these verses. So many thoughts come to my mind and my heart is filled with powerful feelings. As long as I live, I will always remember serving as a full-time missionary in 1996 and reading these words from President Gordon B. Hinckley about this scripture:
“I wish that every member of this church would put those words where he might see them every morning as he begins his day. They would give us the courage to speak up, they would give us the faith to try, they would strengthen our conviction of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that more miracles would happen over the earth.”
Courage + faith to try + conviction =more miracles
Sounds like the perfect prescription for our world in 2020.
